I have been waitlisted in the round without an interview so would I get a direct admit or interviewed first and then they will decide further please help me with the query

Do people who have been interviewed and then waitlisted have more chances of getting in then people who have not been interviewed and directly waitlisted. If someone could shed light on this topic would great.

Yes, they are more likely to get off the waitlist because there is not the additional need for an interview. Most current students who had been waitlisted that I spoke to were waitlisted with interview.

Thankyou for your response. I am waitlisted from round 1 without an interview so my chances slim compared to those interviewed and whether students waitlisted in round 1 get preference over those in following rounds. Please shed some light on these queries too.

According to the FAQ, there are no rankings of waitlist candidates, so I do not believe (but am not sure) whether Round 1 gets first look.
