Just got waitlisted without interview. Seems to be happening to a lot of internationals. Anyone have advice on what to do next? :(

Also does anyone know chances of getting in from waitlist? They said they are reviewing until August but that is a really long time - would it really take that long?

Does anyone know if the standard status once you submit application is "your application is currently under review"... or do you think round 4 decision could be coming that quickly?

Personally, I think the likelihood of received a decision before the deadline is low, because of the nature of R4 (R3 at other schools) and how I perceive NYU releasing decisions. Generally, R4 is competitive, so very few people get in (this is true at every school, not just Stern and every year, not just 2021...). Furthermore, my understanding is that NYU notifies people they like on a rolling basis for interview and then either cuts or WLs everyone else on or just before initial notification deadline.

Based on the competitiveness of R4 and my understanding of NYU admissions, the likelihood of receiving an initial decision quickly is very very low.

Just got my decision via portal update. Waitlisted which is disappointing. Felt like I hit the major criteria that NYU was looking for, especially with a solid GMAT of 760, but can't be too disappointed with an acceptance the other school I really felt I connected with.

Good luck to all those on the waitlist or waiting for decisions! Congrats to the new admits!

Hey, sorry to hear that! Amazing GMAT score! Would you accept the waitlist offer? I have seen so many people getting waitlisted with or without an interview; I wonder how many people would actually be offered a seat from this vast list! Good luck with your admit school :)

Does anyone know when R3 accepted candidates have to make a decision about enrolling? Is it one deadline or rolling basis? (waitlist applicant here -- curious if waitlist will likely have a higher chance of hearing back after R3 candidates make a choice)

I can't answer your first question, but I think deposit deadlines are rolling. For reference, I was admitted Rd 1 in early January this year and had until early March to submit a deposit. It could be that Stern has a blanket deadline for later rounds just because of the tighter timing involved in deciding on WL, but at least for my Round, I think it's rolling.

It's really a holistic application process. Try to be around the average in all categories (age, GPA, test scores, etc.). If you are below on one, be above average in another (top employer/impact at work, etc.) [#permalink]

Hi! Does anyone know if career-wise, the tech-MBA is equal to the standard full time MBA at Stern? Regarding future salary and everything else.. or do you know any differences, other than the different subjects?
