less weight does not mean no weight!

They will obviously read all aspects before sending out invites.

Does Ross send out dinge notification?
Do no invites suggest dinge?
Has anyone contacted adcom to understand if there will be any more invites?

Unfortunately I am also in the same boat this time, but from my last year's experience of an interview invitation, whoever doesnt get an invite have to wait till the final decision date to find out if they have been waitlisted without interview or dinged. Mostly its a ding. Those who are waitlisted without an interview may or may not be called for an interview in the subsequent rounds. But for that to happen, you need to be extremely lucky and going with the recent trends where Ross is receiving much more applications than previous years, this, I believe, is less likely to happen.

In her blog, Soojin mentioned invites shall be sent out in the week starting 26th. She didn't mention any particular date. Is this an indication that invites shall be sent out in multiple waves? Just a theory.

Honestly, no matter how much we want to believe in it and want another wave of invites, going by the last year's trend, Ross sends all invites in one go. Therefore, I think yesterday's invites were final. I hope this time they send more invites. It would be clear from Soojin's blog post which is expected soon. One thing I really appreciate about Ross is how much effort they put to provide clarity and streamline process for applicants.

I am pretty sure that there is another/multiple wave of invites on the way. Look at the Applicant Summary data - so far, only 9% of the applicants have been invited to interview. I looked at last 2 years' data and the percentage is in the range of 30-40. So, fasten your seat belts and wait for the wave to hit you :)

Noticed one thing between last year's blog and this year. The language is specific to one date 20 october last year while this year it says the week of 26 Oct.
M I thinking too much or being too optimistic or m I onto something?

Attached screens for reference.

With the amount of speculation going on, expect Soojin to come out with a blog post first thing in the morning (3-4 hours from now). I will admit though, that the amount of reported interview invites here on GMATClub is peculiarly low this year. Either they have sent out very few invites OR members of GC haven't updated their statuses. So if you have an invite please update your status so that we may get an accurate picture.

Got invited yesterday around 5 pm EST.

I'm a brazilian guy, 3 years WE in consulting.
Probably will do a off campus interview, since I couldn't leave work in the next month!

Ross typically sends out all invites in a day. Last year, many who were not invited to interview (irrespective of R1 or R2) were notified way before the final decision day that their applications had been rejected. I understand that this information doesn't help raise anyone's morale in any way, but all those who haven't received an interview invite yet (including me) should be pretty much prepared for the worse and should focus on other applications.

Mystery solved:
Dear Dhivya:

Thank you for your email to Michigan Ross.

Interview invites have been sent for Round 1 via email. Please check your spam/junk mail folders to ensure you did not receive an email invitation. If you were invited to an interview, please know we will make every effort to contact you. At this time, we don't expect to send further invites.

Decisions on admission will be released on December 18. You will be able to login to your account and review your decision at that time.

Invited to interview :) ...Choosing off-campus interview with ROSS Alumni mid-Nov.
The invite mentions Tauber as well, which would have a separate on-call interview.
Indian candidate. Female , GMAT 730...
This is my first MBA interview!Tips would be helpful :)

I remember reading the same lines on last year's thread. Pretty funny. Time to hang up boots and move on. A waste of time and hard-earned money.
