Has an accepted students thread/FB group created? Would love to know more about all of you and to plan our next steps together!

How are you guys working on funding?

Count me in if you create that thread/group. I checked out Prodigy Finance, right now it doesn't even have an option to select Fall 2016 intake. I guess it's too early as of now. Had spoken with someone high up at a national bank a few weeks back, he said that a loan bigger than 30 lakhs might be possible depending on a lot of factors, provided 100% collateral is available. Will reach out to him again in the coming days and see how to take it forward.

Yeah I believe trying for a loan in India for an international MBA would be a bad idea.

A) loan fit hardly 30%
B) collateral of 1 or 1.5 times
C) exchange risk
D) too much paper work despite the above problems

Just did the video essay. It was not as scary as I thought it would be. Planning to submit my application this week though i'm retaking the GMAT in January.

This forum has been really quiet. For those admitted, have you decided if you are matriculating? Any update on financing options?

Some of the admitted students are keen on matriculating. One candidate in fact is paying the deposit today. I'm still evaluating options. I've an interview with Ivey next Friday and an expecting results from Emory.

we have an active what's app group and are updating key data in a Google group as well. I'll add important data to the admitted students thread here too. I think the others would agree with me, but I can't wait to get to know more about all the admitted students. Do show up in the platforms.

With respect to financing, we have spoken to Canadian banks and are working on the first steps - getting a bank guarantee for the loan amount from the list of banks they recommend (or finding a Canadian cosigner).

We have interacted with prodigy finance as well and understand that the application cycle would start a couple of weeks from now.

Hi everyone,

For all those people who applied on 19th of October..

1. Have all of you received interview invite from Rotman?
2. Does Rotman inform you if you are denied or is there no communication regarding the ding?

Its my first time applying and probably last time for Rotman due to my age.and I really really want this being my dream school and I am now losing hope now.

Everyday since 19th goes by with me checking my mail at least 100 times a day.

I submitted my App on October 18-and havent heard anything from them yet-I emailed them last week, and they said that my Application is under Review and I will hear from them by the Deadline-not sure whats going on-I am thinking Rotman is bit strict with the age factor-

I'm very sorry to be the one delivering harsh news, but it's not looking good. Rotman's turnaround time is known to be very quick and if they're saying to wait till the deadline, you're either headed for the waitlist or worse. Hope I'm wrong. Good luck mate.

Absolutely, it's never too late. In fact Rotman's CO 2017 average age is 29 and the oldest guy is 40. So I'm definitely not discouraging anyone's profile, just speaking based on Rotman's usual turnaround time. But don't give up hope until you hear from the school itself. Good luck man! Hope you get it.

I've a 3 year degree and I got in. I know a couple of others who have got in this year with a 3 year degree. 1 has recently been invited to interview too

Hi Guys!
I got a call for an interview last night! I submitted my application on 19th of October and was certain of a rejection as I had not heard back from them in over 25 days. However, I did get a mail and Lynda and I set a time for sometime next week.

About my background - I have 3+ years of experience in the finance domain and i have completed CFA. I never took the Gmat as Rotman accepts CFA as a proxy for GMAT. Will keep you guys posted.
