I submitted my application on 3rd Jan. Haven't received a reply yet! Do they wait till the Notification deadline in case they have decided to reject you?

While booking my interview slots, I could see slots upto 21st of this month.
So, its worth being optimistic.

I submitted my application on 4th and I am still waiting for a decision on whether I would get an interview.
What keeps me optimistic : Final decision date is 20th March
What doesn't : In both of the previous rounds around 50% of the applicants were admitted, which has already happened in this round.

Hi jubinarora,

Can you please eloborate on your last sentence ?
"50% of the applicants were admitted" does this mean 50% of the applicant that were interviewed are admitted or 50% of all the applicant are admitted ?

Also, from where did you get this stats ?

Mihir, I think he has taken the stats from the admission tracker on GC. And I think it should be 50% of interviewed applicants are admitted.

I am sorry, I meant 50% of the applicants were called for interviews.

This is actually strange, I have an admit with 65% scholarship from Olin, and got interview invites from all the higher ranked schools, but no invite here.
I might have screwed up my essays by mistake....
