So I just got waitlisted without interview from Round 3! I'm kinda surprised because I figured I'd just get a straight rejection especially this late in the game. I'm sitting pretty well with my acceptance to Cornell but I'm wondering about recruiting for Management Consulting, is Stern a significantly better choice? Any advice for what to do to improve my chances? I only applied a couple months ago so there isn't much I can really do to show how I've improved in the meantime.

I was wait listed in R2 after I interviewed. It's mid May now and still no word. I already submitted extra essay and rec a few weeks ago. This is a very grueling process. Any thoughts or insights on when we'll find out would be much appreciated!

Trust me, I was WL in Rd 1 and it's killing me. If I had an answer for you I would let you know.

Yea no clue either. I'm basically operating under the assumption of reapplying for 2014 and if something happens sooner then that's great.

That is literally the exact same mentality that I have. Let's keep it positive and look at it this way... Rd 3 deadline to hear is June 1....they should take 2-3 weeks to review the WL and then maybe send some invites (all just speculation but hey, a brother can hope).

Thanks. I was waitlisted after having my interview (I was invited to interview in Mid March and interviewed in early April).

I haven't seen much activity in terms of the NYU waitlist since May. I was wondering if anyone's heard anything?

Sorry forgot to post, I was on vacation last week. I was dinged last week, June 3rd. W/L without interview since January and finally got the rejection. It's okay because I was operating under the mindset that I would be rushed to attend and pack up my life to get there and was planning on reapplying, which I will definitely be doing. Stern is definitely my top choice and will be the same next year.
