Hi guys, thanks a lot fo useful information.

What is the exact time for the application deadline? I could not find that on the web-site. Could you? If not, have you contacted admissions board?
Thanks!

Hey everyone. So I submitted my app without the TOEFL score but it turns out, you do need one even if your medium of instruction during undergrad was English. Here's what the admissions office told me.

Quote:
To clarify, we require all international applicants (with the exception of those from Australia, Barbados, Canada, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom) to provide TOEFL/IELTS scores, regardless of being educated in English during your undergraduate years. This is a requirement from UCLA Graduate Division, which is the division that oversees all graduate admissions.

BUT, they were kind enough to allow me to submit in Round 2. I just had to put in the date I plan to take the test and until then, my application is going to be "On hold". Not exactly ideal, but better than being pushed to Round 3 I suppose. But I should have an official score to report by about the 20th of this month, so all things considered it's not a bad outcome.

I'm in the same boat as you. I emailed them about it last month but until now, I haven't heard feedback. I wonder if I should just copy what you did and put the date I plan to take the IELTS. Or should I really wait for them to allow me to submit in R2? In my case, I should have results by the end of Jan.

I'm guessing they were busy dealing with all the Round 1 apps, which is why they didn't reply... because I got very prompt responses from them! In any case, I think you should just mail them again and tell them about your situation just to cover all your bases. If they don't respond in time, call them up! And if neither of the two work, just put in the date and update them about it later.

Thanks. Just called them about it. The lady I spoke with said as long as I can send my results by end-Feb, I should be good for R2. She did say I didn't need to put any test dates or notes on my app though.

I believe it is 11:59pm PT on the application due date. At least that is what it was last year.

In for round 2! The excitement of getting these done is giving way to exhaustion....just gotta get one more done tomorrow (Haas.....). It sure does suck how R2 deadlines are right after the holidays.....talk about everything sliding to the last minute!

Good luck!

I applied R1 and have not yet received an invitation for an interview.
Is it definitely safe to say that I did not get in? :/

Well, that was fast! I submitted my application for R2 on Sunday and was just invited to interview! I'm going to interview on Tuesday on campus. Any insights? I think the interviews are with students...

Good luck to all of the R2 submissions and all of the R1 applicants waiting to hear!

Congrats marg2015! Just be yourself. Don't let yourself get too worked up. The interviews are for the most part very laid back and conversational. Just make sure you know your story, why Anderson, why the particular career you are targeting, and how your background plus Anderson equals that career and long-term goal. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck!

Whew! Submitted for R2!

If anyone is having problems with payment, try using Internet Explorer. For some reason, I kept getting errors when I tried making payment using Google Chrome.

Good luck everyone!

Just made it in the second round. UCLA's essay was the most difficult essay I have come across.

I was having troubles with paying the fees and ultimately ended up getting two receipts of payment. I hope I don't end up paying twice the admission fees.

All the best everyone.
