Hey everyone. So I submitted my app without the TOEFL score but it turns out, you do need one even if your medium of instruction during undergrad was English. Here's what the admissions office told me.
Quote:
To clarify, we require all international applicants (with the exception of those from Australia, Barbados, Canada, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom) to provide TOEFL/IELTS scores, regardless of being educated in English during your undergraduate years. This is a requirement from UCLA Graduate Division, which is the division that oversees all graduate admissions.
BUT, they were kind enough to allow me to submit in Round 2. I just had to put in the date I plan to take the test and until then, my application is going to be "On hold". Not exactly ideal, but better than being pushed to Round 3 I suppose. But I should have an official score to report by about the 20th of this month, so all things considered it's not a bad outcome.
