Does anyone know that if all R1 early admits whose decisions were released in mid December received scholarship or were there admits released without scholarship as well

The forum has now officially been taken over by R2 applicants? Any R1 applicants still lurking around?

Still here and interview feels like ages ago (2 months)

narae729
Those who did Skype interview. How did it work? You wait at interview time and they will call you??? Or did you get notice before interview about your interviewer inc. Skype ID and name etc.?

My interviewer, added my username maybe 3-4 minutes before start time. The person used their personal skype or rather their exact name. I didn't know who was interviewing or any details about that person until literally the interview where the person introduced themselves.

Good luck!

R1 applicant here and interviewed in mid November. I did not hear anything from the early notification round.

I'm trying not to drown in anxiety before hearing the final decision on the 28th.

I'm in the same boat. I'm American, background in accounting and finance, 4 years of work experience, 3.8 GPA, CPA, 710 GMAT. I'm not optimistic about my chances of admission, but I believe the bulk of acceptances for round one will be released on the 28th. I imagine the early batch was relatively small.

I think many of us are in the same boat. I have a lot riding on Anderson admit and desperately awaiting admit mail/call. I am counting days to 28th from quite some time now. With now one week left I can hardly control my anxiety. tick tock tick tock....

Dear lord, with that background, GPA and GMAT score--if you aren't optimistic, what chance do those of us with less stellar backgrounds have. :?

Schools want a well rounded student body, that's all I'll say. How many generic American guys who work in Accounting and Finance apply?

Does UCLA review applications in the order they were received or by industry? I'm noticing that several liberal arts/education people like myself got invites in the past few days, and I'm getting nervous.

It is very difficult to estimate and maybe even futile to speculate what their process is. Moreover I do not think any school is going to come forward and forthrightly share what there sorting process is. Do not worry there will be a next wave of invites as well.

A call out to the Indian applicants who had interviewed in Round one. Were you asked to supply a TOEFL score POST your interview ? I got a mail last week from UCLA asking for it and that they can't proceed on my application until they get the score. Just want to know whether I am the only one out there who has to do this or are there others.

How come you don't feel great about your chances? Your gmat and gpa are competitive. Having a CPA certainly helps!

I truly hope you're right that most acceptances go out on the 28th. Seems like the early decisions went out to international students, non-west coast applicants and UCLA undergrad alums. At least that's what I would like to believe as a California native!

I think that's a good sign because apparently, Anderson changed their policy about the TOEFL after the Round 1 deadlines. The UCLA Graduate School Admissions department implemented a new policy which makes the TOEFL mandatory for Indian applicants (there's only a few countries that are exempt). I wasn't aware of this when I submitted my Round 2 app and when I asked, they told me to take the test asap and report my scores to them. Until then, my application would be "on hold".

Seeing as how you've had your interview already, I think the TOEFL is needed before admission (otherwise why would they ask?)
