R1 applicant here and interviewed in mid November. I did not hear anything from the early notification round.

I'm in the same boat. I'm American, background in accounting and finance, 4 years of work experience, 3.8 GPA, CPA, 710 GMAT. I'm not optimistic about my chances of admission, but I believe the bulk of acceptances for round one will be released on the 28th. I imagine the early batch was relatively small.[/quote]
How come you don't feel great about your chances? Your gmat and gpa are competitive. Having a CPA certainly helps!
I truly hope you're right that most acceptances go out on the 28th. Seems like the early decisions went out to international students, non-west coast applicants and UCLA undergrad alums. At least that's what I would like to believe as a California native![/quote]
I applied last year as well and felt really good about my application. I received an interview invite in the first batch. I was pretty confident that I would get in and learnt my lesson when the decisions were released.

Sorry to hear that! Since you got an extra year of work experience, I'm sure you have additional accomplishments to bolster your profile. I'm thinking if your application is essentially the same, they wouldn't have invited you back for another interview.
But I understand your position. I'm an Asian American male in finance. The applicant pool is competitive
