NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SEE MY VIDEO INTERVIEW
Talk about a complete disaster!
I am generally comfortable while talking in front of a camera, but this time...
Question 1:
I answer slowly and in a very composed manner....sounds good right? The problem though was that I was WAAAAY too slow. I was only midway through my answer when the time ran out! It stopped recording even before I got to my main point..
I was determined to make up for it in the second question.
Question 2:
The application normally 'beeps' during the preparation time just before the recording starts. For me though..IT DIDN'T!!
Result: I was busy jotting away and looked up after a while only to see 'RECORDING.' on the screen!
Entering panic mode, I tried to blurt out the answer as quickly as I could. I stammered, I looked like an idiot, I completely lost my composure. At one point it appeared that the video recording had ended, and I stopped, but the 'Recording' message came back!! And I start blabbering again, picking up where I left off after 10 seconds of looking blankly at the screen like an idiot. The recording then ends without warning, leaving me mid-sentence.

:
I feel devastated. This was definitely not a measure of my capabilities. Looks like its 'goodbye Foster'
Why second guess? I am sure your video interview will not nullify everything your resume, recommendations, scores and essays have built. Similarly a great video interview will not make up for major shortcomings. It is just a component in the whole package. I am sure, whether I get called for an admissions interview or I don't, the video interview will only have a small role in it.
