I have a doubt about GPA conversation from Indian to US scale. In the specified scholaro tool the most common option says 60-100 is US 4.0 grade point. Does that mean equivalent of my overall 7.2 gpa would be 4.0 in US?

It is probably not 4.0. I had a 7.8/10 and I went through 5-6 different online tools, consensus was a 3.28/4.0 And I wouldn't worry too much about the accuracy of what you put here. By asking you to convert the GPA, Foster will know that it's going to get a lot of arbitrary responses due to the number of grading systems in the world. Ultimately they will look to your transcript and grades.
