Been re-waitlisted. Guess the fun doesn't end just yet...
Thinking of just removing my name at this point; making plans to move to one city (with my SO as well) to then change last minute just doesn't seem worth it.

I hope William's update (which hopefully is coming later today) will provide a bit more detail than the incredibly uninformative letter that was posted today.
It just seems like the right thing to do to at least tell us how many people are on the waitlist. I don't expect it, but its incredibly frustrating to have no idea what our chances are / where we stand.
I was waitlisted last year.... they only ended up accepting ONE person from the waitlist. The program has an incredibly high matriculation rate. They did encourage re-application though.... so I re-applied for R2 for this year and still haven't heard!! This is so stressful!
I applied R2 and was just informed that I've been added to the waitlist. I wonder if they ended up dropping anyone from R1 waitlist? That would at least give us a sense for how they are treating the pool of applicants, removing those who they are no longer considering at this point or whether they aren't managing the list and just letting the group grow.
Wharton is my top pick so I plan to stick with it, despite my acceptance from other schools. Fingers crossed for everyone!
Waitlisted again! Looks like they haven't lifted off anyone nor dinged anyone from the R1 list. Now the waitlist pool is just getting bigger. Strange process to say the least.
I'm pretty much committed to Booth at this point of the game, so can't say I'm that upset with today's outcome. Part of me wants to remove myself from the list, but the other (stubborn) part of me wants to stay till the end to see how it turns out.

You write the words that were on my mouth. Exactly the same thing here.

Couldn't agree with you more. Booth it is - hard to be upset with that outcome.

How do you know this? I believe this is incorrect - looking at last year's (class of 2017) WL thread, looks like at least 2 got in from there which makes me think actual number probably more.

Anecdotal evidence: my coworker was admitted r3 from the waitlist last year and I doubt he was the only one.

That's great to hear. He was waitlisted prior to r3 and found out at the r3 deadline?
