Not sure how good my odds of landing a Wharton invite are, but LOVE the fact that they release all at once. That's a much more humane way of handling things than other schools. Harvard's two releases (plus the ding) were frustrating, but Booth's rolling releases were TORTURE. Though the invite made up for it.

I agree. I am not sure why schools do rolling releases. I understand that for schools with rolling admissions (CBS), a rolling release would be necessary. I would prefer a single release of both invites and dings as well.

I'm sure at least part of it is a desire to start notifying as soon as possible, they want to inform some people while they still consider others so you can make travel plans etc. Though I agree with the earlier idea that once (or maybe twice) a week of notifications would probably be plenty. If anything, it gives you confidence that you won't miss "the" email. Wharton's definitely the king here with a one and done day.

I see your point and do agree. It's just that there are schools that send out invites as late as a few days before admission decision!! (i.e. Yale last year), in that case it doesn't really help with making travel plans ahead of time. So it's not great for the selective few. Then again, not much fairness can be said about the whole MBA application process anyway.

A few days? Wow. Brutal.

I'm so nervous about this. Booth interview isn't really making me feel much better - if it was an offer that'd be a different story! Two interview invites would go a long way in easing my anxiety.

ON Friday BY 5pm eastern. Not sure if that means they'll go out at 5 or if that's when they'll be done sending them out by.

You should be more relaxed with the Booth invite my friend, you already have a 50% chance of admission

Those odds are too low for me to relax!

When do you think the on-campus TBD will start? Do you think next week will be too soon.

Maybe they'll try to wait till the week of the 10th to get some TBD classes filled right?

Any thoughts welcome

How do you have this statistic - "50% chance of admission"? is there a by-school breakdown of % of those interviewed offered admittance?
