Is it just about your employment history and salary, or it will be also be about your extra-curriculum activities? I am an entrepreneur. I am a bit worried about how they will verify my background. Hey folks, generally speaking are the GMAT score expectations/thresholds different for people from different countries? Like are the score requirements higher for applicants from particular countries ?

Yes for a certain number of countries. It all depends on how many applicants are there from that country. A lot of them. Why do you ask? You can check for the average scores from the class profiles and then maybe add 30 points to it. That would be a good approximation.
