I might be totally blind, but does anyone see any info about the Welcome Weekend for admitted students?
great question.
I might be wrong, but I think you have to accept your offer from the application portal and then login here: mywharton.wharton.upenn.edu

Wait so you're saying there isn't a welcome weekend this year for admitted student BEFORE we accept our offer? Feels kinda unfair that we have to accept before the welcome weekend. I honestly feel like I have to be missing something.

It would be best to contact the ad com directly. I haven't been through this for about one year. My recollection was that it was an admitted (and accepted) student meeting. Maybe it is different this year.
for those of you who are currently working, do you plan on trying to work and do the mba program at the same time, or planning on quitting your jobs before starting this fall?

ricardorr04 The Wharton MBA is an intensive program and I am afraid you won’t find enough time to also work while doing the Wharton MBA without sacrificing the MBA experience. Are you talking about the Part time or executive MBA program? If you are talking about the Full-time MBA, I think it is advisable to quit work before you start your MBA :)

Additionally, you can go through last year's waitlist topic and see what kind of updates the applicants sent. The links for the waitlist topics are below.
In that case, you will end up losing the deposit that you had made. It happens often though. So, people pay a deposit at a school to be safe so they don't lose their place and if they end up getting admission from a better school, they will forgo the deposit and move to the school of their choice.

Nikhil’s advice above makes a lot of sense. A friend of mine had a different perspective. MBA is means to an end and not an end in itself. If it is advantageous for your career path to do things on the side and can manage your course load, you should give it a try. Maybe you can try for a reduced workload instead of quitting fully. Also a number of classmates might be interning in VC firms / working on startups while in school. Those are jobs in itself.
