Wharton is a well known feeder to investment banking banking but at the same time consulting and tech are well-known. About 23% of the class went into consulting.

I think you should look at this the other way around, would the school be a good fit for you given your goals? I feel almost everywhere majority students have a pre-mba background in consulting or finance because these fields value an MBA (generally). So I wouldn’t place too much importance on the premba background

as long as you’ve created impact in your 5+ years, you shouldn’t worry. Also if you’ve switched teams maybe highlight that to show that you’ve done a variety of work
