I read most of the Yale thread from last year, and I'm pretty confident that there are plenty of invites left to come. Definitely no one should be giving up hope! (But waiting is SO difficult...)
On a different note, I just received this email:
"Greetings from New Haven. My name is Kristen Shockley, Associate Director of Admissions at the Yale School of Management. Congratulations on your invitation to interview for admission at Yale SOM! I am traveling to London this weekend and am delighted to extend an invitation to dinner hosted by Tim Collins '82, CEO and Senior Managing Director of Ripplewood Holdings LLC and Chairman of the Yale School of Management Board of Advisors. The small group dinner is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. this Sunday, November 2, at the following location:
Scott's Restaurant
20 Mount Street
London, W1K 2HE
The event will be a wonderful opportunity to connect. I hope you'll be able to join us. Do feel free to bring your significant other and RSVP by registering for the event below."
Is anyone else on this forum attending?
I will definitely go, it seems like a good opportunity, but am I correct in assuming then that Kristen Shockley will conduct my interview the following day? If so, is it reasonable for me to feel slightly apprehensive about extending the time I have with which to do something dumb like spill all over myself in front of her or something? I just concerned I'll be so on edge during the whole dinner!
