I realized I can submit even with the error message, and the application proof has it too. Not sure if that means it's resolved.

the same thing happened to me (post-mba career error). as far as i could tell, it seemed to be about luck and just trying over and over again. i think after trying the 5th or 6th time or so (and this included logging back out and in, deleting the section and saving and then pasting the section back in, etc.), i gave up and did something else for 20-30 minutes. when i came back, it worked.

In for Round 1. Done with video essay too .
The questions were:
1. Why do you decide to pursue an MBA at this point of time?- felt i blabbered a little here.
2. Mention one obstacle you didnt expect- the situation, how you tackled and the end result.- was warmed up by now
3. Some people believe automobiles were an unnecessary innovation and world was much better without them. Agree or disagree? - very suitable question considering i work in automotive. i was good at this one :P

Thanks a lot for this :)
All the best!

Any one else done with the video questions?

This happened to me too. I changed my career interests, clicked continue, went to review, and it was fine. So I changed them again to my actual career interests, continue, and went back to review again. That worked for me every time it happened (since I reviewed the application several times, it happened several times).

I already submitted but havent done the video questiones yet.

Good luck!

Can anyone see the Round 2 applications for SOM? I've had to push back my application from R1 to R2, but I cannot open a new application. The only one I see is the "expired" R1.

Same here... I think it must be a technical issue... Might as well give my essay some additional polish.

how to prepare for the video questions.... any known questions so far?

Hello!

As far as I know, you are very likely to get some of the following questions:

1. Why MBA? Why now? ST/LT goals...

2. Tell us about a time when you... showed leadership/faced an obstacle/designed a creative solution...

3. Sort of off-topic question: do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Why?

The link posted on this thread (mbamanual) gives you a good idea of the questions you will face. However, I would register on the link sent to you to do the video questions, then practice a bunch of times with the sample questions to get familiarized with the software and interface (they have a pool of 8-10 sample questions I think), and then get it done!

Make sure you practice timing as much as you can, since 1 minute will not be the usual length of your interview answers...

Hope it helps!

Sorry, the link wasn't on this thread, but on the Yale subforum instead...

This is the link I used: my-yale-som-interview-experience-202258.html

This is another link that apparently leads to a bunch of questions, but I never got to try it: all-yale-video-essay-questions-172287.html

Just did my video essay.
The question were

1. Why MBA now
2. Challenging situation at work and how did you resolve it. (I felt 1 min is too short for such a broad question)
3. Do you think increasing taxes on cigarettes and alcohol will make people consume less of them. Agree or Disagree. Why ?
