Did any other indian applicant get a waiver?

It is not necessary if the medium of instruction in your undergrad was English

Thank you for the reply abhimanyu

its still pending in my application in mystatus page

i got this in my mail

While the medium of instruction in Indian universities is frequently English, that is not the language spoken by individuals outside the classroom. There are over 250 languages and dialects on the Indian sub-continent and so the Graduate and International Admissions Center requires all Indian applicants (as well as those from Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Quebec to name only a few) to submit an English Proficiency score.

what should i do?

Oh.. I think I should also expect a similar mail soon then. When did you apply btw?

I am giving the ielts on 19th anyway for UCLA as they don’t give waivers to Indian applicants. I would suggest you talk to someone in the adcom first and if it’s absolutely necessary, book a date and inform them of the schedule. You don’t need much time to prepare if you converse in English regularly.

You should have put "Educated solely in English" under the TOEFL/IELTS section in the application if you had English as your language throughout schooling, under grad. If not, it would show up in the pending list of GIAC.
Shoot a mail to the admissions office and inform them to change if it's incorrectly showing in GIAC. I did it.

Hi. My transcript section in the McCombs checklist is showing as 'Awaiting'. However it is shown as 'Received' in GIAC. What about you?

Yup. It's the same as well for me. Shows awaiting but GIAC says complete. I think it should be okay.

I read an interview review of 11th November, 2019. So i am guessing they would intimate for an interview at least one week before the actual date.

so that would leave us with the option of First week of November? :? :? maybe ?

I’ve seen some people in previous cycles say they’ve been invited less than a week after the deadline. I’d say sometime between next week and mid-November depending on when you submitted.

From last year's decision tracker, I see an interview invite on Oct 10th while the Round 1 deadline was Oct 8th. So they sent interview invites soon after the deadline. Maybe the same this year :)
