Rodrigo addressed more interview invites question. Due to 20% more applications, they are still in the reviewing phase but they have released most of the interview invites. There will be a few more which shall be released within 1.5 to 2 weeks

That’s quite weird, even last year R2 saw a surge of applications and McCombs had interviewed 70% of the applicants. Stacey had conveyed that they usually interview almost if not all the applicants. (Just like Kellogg or Foster or Tuck)
Wonder if R1 this year is worse than R2 last year, sigh

Well I have some data I can share
1940 application and 740 admits for class of 2020 , with a yield of 32% ,around 240-250 people were admitted. That would like me to believe that McCombs would have interviewed at least 1100 to 1200 applicants (what I have heard is it interviews 70-75% in earlier rounds I,e, R1 an R2)
So not everyone would accept an offer and hence schools always gives offer more than the size of class they accommodate. McCombs R1/R2 yield has been 33%-35% last year (covid year) , hope I make myself clear?
