Guys, I got to know that my recommender wrote longer recommendation answers than required (250 words was recommended) he said the portal was taking more words so he wrote much more. Somewhere around 400-450 words. Will this act negatively on my application?

I wouldn’t think so. I’m sure they’re aware that students apply to many schools and that McComb’s LOR has different word limits which the recommenders might find it hard to edit. I guess they’d be understanding of that. It’s the candidates who must conform to the word limit IMO not the reccomenders

From where did you get to know that R1 saw a decline in apps last year? If the decline was true then depending on the magnitude of decline the 20% jump this year won’t impact that much.

Hi guys. I had my interview a few minutes ago. It was quite conversational almost like talking through my experiences. I would say you are already prepared for the interview so long as you can remember instances from your experience.

Can you kindly post an interview debrief ?

Sure. I recall the following: 1. I looked through your resume last night and this morning. Could you walk me through your cv and highlight what skills you have developed since leaving college? 2. Walk me through an instance when encountered a unique business problem or challenge that you had to solve 3. Can you describe an example of how you have led a group through an uncertain time 4. Why have you decided to get an MBA now and why McCombs 5. How do you envision yourself getting involved here in McCombs and how do you intend to leave it better than you met it? 6. What have you learnt about yourself through this MBA application process? 7. Any questions for me?

Was your interview with Adcom or Student or Alumni?

Those who are still awaiting invite what are your thoughts? Will there be another wave of interview invites? Getting a bit concerned as they said all interviews will have to be completed by Nov 24.
