I’m todays virtual chat Rodrigo mentioned that there are only a handful of invites left to be sent. Interviews should be completed by 24th November. He also said this was a big round for them.
He said and I quote "we have a handful of invites to be sent yet". Didn’t mention the word only I suppose. Let’s not discourage anybody

Someone asked for a number. The response was “less than 10”.

bedirushil, Last year R2 had tons of waitlist but as far as I know it was after the interview and that being said McCombs invited a lot of people to interview in R2 as well. One can never be sure of what’s going on in the blackbox

if McCombs really invited 70% of the people for interviews… I’m quite bummed for not getting one despite a GMAT waiver

That’s quite the contrary. What makes you think people with GMAT waiver are preferred?

Well this is not something new. It is same every year with most international schools. So when we apply we should be ready for such things :)

It’s not about preference. It’s about clearing one hurdle (the biggest eliminator apparently) and still failing to get an invite.

McCombs 2021 intake class had lower than 5% of gmat waiver candidates. This they told in one of their event.
