I guess that is the worst place to be in. It doesn’t give a closure, and puts the students in a limbo.

These schools don’t give a closure and put the students on a limbo. Not sure when this meh period will come to an end.

I guess the schools want to evaluate how many students apply in R2, which is expected to be very high due to the economic scenario.

Yeah - There is always a reason. I earlier read that the number of American applicants was less in R1 because of the tight labor market.

So, R2 might compensate for the loss. Not sure whether we will see a substantial increase in applicants.

Also, I wonder whether many would still wish to pursue their MBA when the interest rates are inching higher and when inflation is burning the pocket.

Traditionally it has been higher according to experts, but as Venkat000095 mentioned, I too am doubtful it would be a significant impact, especially as it would be harder for internationals to maintain their finances, so internationals might be swayed away
