Speculation, but I think the greatest waitlist movement for the 2YR program will occur around the second deposit date (early June).

I think so too. But was hoping there will be some movement after the April 30th rolling application deadline. They could have waitlisted a lot of people in order to see if better candidates apply during rolling app period. Looks like we cannot rely on last years waitlist thread to understand the trend. They had 4 application rounds and waitlisted folks got admitted between April 24th to May 5th. The second set of movement happened between June 4th to 10th after 2nd deposit deadline.

I received an offer for the 2YR program last week (was waitlisted after interview in R1). I accepted and I'm very excited! Best of luck to those on the waitlist.

I also hope this allows another deserving candidate to be admitted to Goizueta. I was extremely impressed by their staff/students/program and I was sad to inform them about my decision.

Domestic applicant. I provided regular updates (~once a month), an additional recommendation, and completed the MBAMath.com course. After I was waitlisted, I reviewed my application again and was introspective about my candidacy. I made it very clear that I am passionate about my career goals and that I have a practical strategy to achieve them. I also reached out to members of the Johnson community. I already knew that I really wanted to attend Johnson, but more extensive research of the program and connecting with staff/students further increased my enthusiasm (which may have reflected in the tone of my updates).

Finally, just be honest with the admissions committee. If Johnson is your number one school, then let them know! They are probably looking for candidates who really want to attend! One last thing... the waitlist webinar back in February was thorough and frankly, pretty awesome. Check out the transcript of that again - it covered a lot of the advice I just gave.

Best of luck!! :)

Great!

I was denied admission on the last day (the day of orientation) for the AMBA program..was on the wait-list for a really long time (first without interview and then with an interview). Just wondering how many AMBA W/Ls finally made it to the admit list...I know I'm asking this question for the nth time, but just curious to know

I opted to decline the interview as I can't imagine rounding up $160k in loans, finding an apartment and moving in a matter of two months. Good luck to whoever receives the next email.

I'm starting to think Johnson is on some scam type of stuff. They had this rolling admissions begging people to apply, however I think the only reason they wanted more people to apply was to pad their application stats with no real intention of even admitting those in the rolling admissions period.

Reluctantly, I have to agree with you. It seems to be the case. To my knowledge they turned down quite a few well-qualified applicants from the 1st to 3rd rounds. But the adcom still encouraged more people to apply for no obvious reason. Also, it's no brainier that anyone who applied during the rolling period did not see Johnson as the first choice. Those were rejected from other schools.

All in all, I've been keeping my eye on the school for a while, and I've got a feeling that they need to change some things in their approach to positioning on the market . First of all, stop being insecure and showing it! Prospected students feel it almost immediately.
