Anybody from wait list heard anything? I know of a person who was accepted today. Initially waitlisted and later called for an interview. Nichole wrote an email asking for some time to chat and later gave an admit based on this person's confirmation that Johnson was the first choice.

Hi Laksh, are you sure for that? many candidates in this forum mentioned all waitlists would get the decision by the end of March. Maybe, it's an exceptional case. BYW, which program 2Ys MBA or 1Y MBA for the case?

2yr program, US citizen. I am 100% sure. I had met this person during my school visit and we stayed in touch. It's more than 30days since interview.

No urgent circumstances. Nichole wrote an email asking for a suitable time to discuss. Eventually they had a discussion after which an admit offer was sent in an email. There was a blog by Christine in which she had mentioned that the school would call an applicant if they were serious about admitting one from waitlist. I think this is one such case. The applicant just kept sending regular updates. She is a US citizen. I am not sure if any internationals have been taken off of waitlist yet.

The point is you must prove Johnson is your first choice over other offers from high ranking bschools. You will definitely enroll in the program if given the admission. At the same time you must be enough competitive intead of having no other choice.

Good in a way if you did not receive it. I do not feel positive after looking at the email. An update mentioning that they will continue reviewing waitlisted applicants over the next few months and that they may not extend any admit letters until Jun (second deposit deadline). The reason why I do not feel positive is because a whole lot of people got added into Cornell FB admitted students page since last Thursday and most of them were ladies. I somehow feel my application was reviewed along with theirs and I was not picked
