Fellow wait listed applicant from R2 - 2 year MBA program. Wait listed after Interview (Interviewed after R2 decision deadline).
Has anybody from R1 moved out of waitlist into the admitted category in the past 2 weeks? Specially with scholarship weekend and R2 decisions going out, I was hoping some of you might receive admission letters.
Also, does anybody know when the second deposit deadlines are?
Hi, for anyone who had submitted an update... how long was your update? I imaging it would be less than the 300 word essay that mentioned in the webinar slides?

Hey Jeff, I think it should be with in 300 words limit as mentioned in the instructions.
R2 deposit deadline is March 5th after which they may review wait list updates. I hope there will be few admits from the wait list pool very soon.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I was in contact with admissions and provided them with updates of my current situation. I pretty much did what they went over in the wait list webinar they hosted a few weeks ago. As others are saying, providing an update and showing ways to improve upon weaknesses are good ways to help you get off the wait list!
Is there a big difference between being waitlisted w/o interview vs. waitlisted with interview?

I don't think there is.
I was waitlisted after interview. I visited Johnson a couple weeks ago and met a lot of waitlisted folks who were invited for an interview after being placed on WL. Review your application and send updates addressing any weak areas and they will extend an interview eventually.
Do you think being waitlisted after interview stands less of a chance than people who were waitlisted then got invited to interview...
because I was interviewed on campus and then waitlisted afterwards....

Jeff, both our situation is the same. Lets hope everybody has equal chances :D
But, I believe there are a lot of factors that will decide whether we stand a chance or not. The ones that can be addressed from our side (our weak areas), we should ensure we take action and send updates. The ones that are not under our control such as admissions team trying to 'Craft a class and make it as diverse as possible' - we cannot do much about it.... At least I cant change the fact that I am an Indian IT female engineer and the fact that I have 9 yrs of experience only in this area

It's probably all the same in the end like you said Laksh.
I agree with your points about admissions wanting to craft the class in a certain way which may or may not work in our favor. :\
