I started my application couple weeks ago and there is a column to request English test waiver. So, it seems that they sometimes can waive this test requirement. However, my question is when will they tell us whether they grant the waiver. I'll probably ask this question to the adcom once I submitted my application.
As back-up plan, I'll start studying for TOEFL or IELTS after application submission as well. There's enough time I suppose although it'd be nice to have one thing off the list
What do you guys think?
I'd suggest you take a look at their English Language policy. For one, I studied in an English-speaking undergraduate but after dropping them an email, I could not get a waiver because it was not in their list of countries. So I went and did my IELTS.
Perhaps the safe bet is to drop them an email explaining your background and they can tell you in a couple days whether you qualify for a waiver
