Hello friends, I am starting this thread exclusively for Chicago Booth Weekend (& Evening) program. This is a forum to do exclusive discussions for the essays / LORs / resume / short term - long term goals!
Lets all come together and cross the Booth gate!
ESSAYS
These essays provide an opportunity for you to tell the Admissions Committee about your life, your career, and your goals. In addition to our required essays, you are also required to submit a re-applicant essay only if you have applied to any Chicago Booth program within the past two years.
Please include the essay question at the top of each essay.
Weekend MBA Essays
Essay One: Why are you seeking an MBA from Chicago Booth, and why is Chicago Booth’s Weekend MBA your program of choice? (400 words maximum)
Essay Two: The University of Chicago’s motto is “let knowledge grow from more to more; and so be human life enriched.” Please tell us how your individual perspective and experiences will enrich and have an impact on the Booth community. Feel free to use examples from both your personal and professional life. (300 words maximum)
Optional Essay: If there is any important information relevant to your candidacy you were unable to address elsewhere in the application, please share that information here. (500 words maximum)
Note that the essay word limit for applications in 2019 are different than that for the FT application.
He is a Full time MBA current student. Just finished his first year at Booth.
Thanks! I asked because it was not categorically mentioned in the original post and viewers of this thread might assume that the chat is with Evening/Weekend MBA student.

Can anyone tell me, what “status” is showing up for an open application for Booth?
I hit submit on my app; it took me to another page where the payment link was present. I made the payment and it again took me to the previous page except that the payment link was gone.
Didn’t display any message saying your application has been submitted; however on logging in again, it’s showing the status as “submitted”.
Update: I got a confirmation email from the university a little later, which was what I was expecting

I'd say that's the primary reason. I don't want to put the breaks on building experience in my current job/industry, which I've only been in less than a year. I will need both the experience in my current job (3+ yrs) and the MBA in order to transition effectively into my desired post-MBA roles.
Makes sense! Good luck for the applications this season.

Hello experts,
Just took my GMAT today. Got a score of 650 (Q49,V29, IR-7). Can you please tell me what are my chances of getting into weekend MBA at booth with this score, or should I retake the exam to get to that magical figure of 700 ?
