seems like a lot of invites went out yesterday.. got one too and i reckon its probably the slowest turnaround so far 6 weeks

It appears the only mandatory question this year is "Tell me about a time you faced adversity and what you learned from it." The rest of my interview was very conversational, we just talked about why I wanted to switch careers, why Columbia and why I thought I wanted to do finance(I'm in the military now).

6 weeks means i'm probably weeks out...bummer!

i was thinking the same till yesterday.. you never know when cbs is looking to set a new record. cant really say anything about the lead time, it seems to be rather messed up this time around compared to previous years

any idea whats the conversion rate to admis from interviews for ed?

I am getting a little anxious given that a number of people who applied after I did on Oct 1 have been invited to interview. However your experience allays my fears to some extent. Can you share your profile? I wonder why it took them so long to extend an invite to you. Its almost 5 weeks!

Anybody know when the regular decision invites start to come out?

I believe Columbia has stated that they don't begin reviewing RD applications until December (1st, I think?).

Can folks who have interviewed already share your interview experiences/questions. This is the first b-school interview I will be doing so I am a little anxious.

How do you know when the interviewer submitted the feedback form?

You will get a "Status update" email from Columbia and a new Status Update on the application webpage.

Hi Guys,

A couple people have mentioned a word limit with regards to CBS' application so I just wanted to confirm that they're referring to the Essays? I didn't see any stated limits for the Work and EC descriptions so I'm hoping that the adcoms will see everything I've written despite it not showing up in the PDF preview...

I am getting nervous..

My bf and I are applying together to Columbia, except he's applied ED, and he's already interviewed. I've applied RD (submitted app on Oct 23rd). We've mentioned we're applying together. He should hear back within a week or so but I'm going to be on tenterhooks til December if they don't review RD til then.
Does anyone have any idea on whether Columbia would look at our apps together even though we're in different rounds? Or whether there's any chance of RD applicants hearing back before December?
I'm not looking forward to a really long waiting period once he knows his admissions status

I don't think your applications are going to be looked at together. But that your boyfriend has applied ED may have an effect on your own RD application. Not very sure about the policies in such cases but I m sure the applications won't be looked at together.

I submitted ED in September but I was having the same issue with the PDF previewer. I called the Admissions Office and was told to disregard the application proof PDF. The adcoms can read everything that you write in those fields even if it does not display properly.

Pretty sure they are sent automatically. I was interviewed on a Saturday afternoon and notified that evening that the Ambassador had submitted my feedback. It's likely that yours has not yet done so.
