consensus seems to be either cracked gmat or cracked internships
What’s the average GMAT for those admitted in recent years, or what score would actually make me competitive? And how should the motivation letter be written? What makes for an effective one to get into the Master in Banking and Finance at St. Gallen?

I have no idea, I’m trying too. You should aim for over 700 to feel some security

The motivation letter weighs for 30% of the decision, so maybe it didn’t depend from the gmat score, idk

Just as I said...GMAT is just a part of your application( all your submitted documents must be showing that you are actually interested and fit for the program not because you are a good test taker but because the course is needed for your career progression )

Profile
-Education:Btech-Mechanical Engineer CGPA-7.69/10
-Gender:Male,23 years old

-Nationality:Indian

-College:Mar Baselios college of Engineering and Technology,Tier-1(NACC accredited)

-Work ex:TVS Brakes India,Trainee Engineer,Manufactured and quality checked brake components,Reached daily targets in my station,Was given appreciation(no certificates or anything) for completing and scoring the highest mark for an exam conducted by the company for my Batch, mostly just learned about the working and operation of machines while also keeping track of the number of brakes produed at the end of each shift

-GMAC mock, last one i took was 605
-Extracurricular-None
-GMAT-Will take soon

For the past 6 months or so i have been trying to get a score of 655+ on GMAT along with that I have done some data analytics courses and projects and have been trying to get into an analytics internship for elevating my profile.

Target Schools-HEC,INSEAD,ESSEC,ESCP

Questions
1.How can i improve my profile overall
2.Does the internship and maybe a NGO help my profile?

Hello everybody!
Started my GMAT prep 6 weeks ago. First official mock: 370, strong in Verbal but very weak in Quant/Data (worth noting: that first mock (370) was during a stressful period: I was studying for university exams at the same time and getting little sleep, so it probably doesn’t fully reflect my baseline, also because I have good foundations in maths).
After 6 weeks following the GMAT Ninja study plan, I took an unofficial GMAT Club mock and got 525 (Q78, V79, D71, so DI is clearly my weak point).
Today I took a GRE mock (Magoosh) out of curiosity and got 305.
I’m set to take the official exam in early October to apply for Round 1 at top Finance business schools. Does it make sense to switch from GMAT to GRE at this point, given I’d have about 6 weeks left before the exam?

Focus on GRE... excell at quant in GRE and do as best as you can in verbal.

PLANNING TO DO YOUR MiM IN THE UK?

We’re hosting a FREE LIVE WEBINAR on getting into some of the UK’s most sought-after business schools -LBS, LSE & Imperial.🎓

Last year, 50%+ of our students had at least one of these universities on their list and 100% of those who applied to all 3 got into at least one.

In this session, we’ll take you behind the scenes of what it really takes to build a profile for these universities, what they actually look for when evaluating applicants, and how we helped students get into these schools last year.

We’ll also talk about essays, applications, and the little things that can make a profile stand out when you’re applying to highly competitive MiM programmes.

And you’ll hear directly from LBS alumni and former admissions interviewers.👀
