Hello Admission Consultants,

I have a BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from India and MS in Telecomm degree from USA. Before moving back to india for good I worked in USA for about 2.5 years on OPT. After i moved back to india, i joined my family business ( manufacturing sector) and it account for around 2 year of work experience.

I am looking forward to apply in USA for tech MBA(Product management) full time program in R2 ( deadline 1st week Jan 2018). My main concern is work visa after i graduate.
As i have already used my opt, i won't be getting opt again after i graduate. So what all the options i might have if i want to work in USA once i graduate? Also if a company hire me and apply my H1, will i be able to work in the company till end of September as H1 gets active from October 1st ( assuming i get through H1 lottery)

Or should i apply in Canada and UK schools? Any comments on work visa condition there ?

A quick response will be really helpful as R2 deadlines are approaching soon.

Hello Admission Consultants,

I personally know of several cases where Top Recruiters picking from top schools have made "adjustments", sometimes posting such new employees outside US until they can get the work visa, and then "transfering" them to the US.
Prepare your application well and get into a good school.

Thanks for the reply. It's just i don't want to get in school before making sure there is an option. Don't want to take loan and then come back to india before paying off everything.

So trying to find about UK and Canada schools as well.

Sure Nikkb,
I answered your question on work visa through US MBA. As for eliminating uncertainty, all stats tell us the same story...getting into the MBA is uncertain, Getting a job through a US MBA is uncertain (regardless of the school), and getting a work visa is all the more uncertain.
Go for a UK/ Canada MBA if you want to have lesser heartburn with work & Visa related issues.

I answered your question on work visa through US MBA. As for eliminating uncertainty, all stats tell us the same story...getting into the MBA is uncertain, Getting a job through a US MBA is uncertain (regardless of the school), and getting a work visa is all the more uncertain.
Go for a UK/ Canada MBA if you want to have lesser heartburn with work & Visa related issues.

I agree everything is so uncertain there and we can't predict anything. It's just I wanted to know if there are options and what are those options.. like 1 is to come back to india while while they process your h1.. what are other options ? can we stay back there and work until we get result of H1 lottery...?

Also heard UK also have work visa issue. Any comments???
