Hi All,
GMAT score: 750
BTech in Computer Engineering(2016-2020) NSIT, Delhi: 7.60/10
Current Work Ex: around 13 months software developer at Flipkart and planning to go for MBA in 2024.
I dont have much extra curricular activities during college or some notable leadership experience.
I was wondering if doing a few courses from sites like
Coursera, Udemy etc could help in boosting up resume for MBA application?
If yes, which courses should be helpful in this regard?
Moreover, is getting
Six Sigma Certification (say, green belt or any), going to help in this?
Hi,
That's a great GMAT score.
Let me give you some suggestions on building your profile over the coming years.
1. work related achievements are most important as they help you build a solid CV. Take initiatives and additional responsibilities that help you make impact - help the company earn revenues/ cut costs. Eventually when you write your resume, you will need to quantify everything so this is important. Basically step above your defined role to do extra projects that your colleagues aren't doing.
2. ECAs- get involved in interest groups/ NGO/ entrepreneurial projects (that align with your career goals). These dont have to be started by you but you can still contribute to someone else's entrepreneurial ideas.
3. Also, get involved in leadership positions within your company- head a committee and do some good work. These are great opportunities to show initiative and leadership.
4. Coursera/ six sigma certification and others should be done if you are interested in them or they help you perform better at work. They will add least value to you for profile building, so don't do them just for the sake of it.
Hope that helps.
