Hi All, I don’t know who has changed the question banks format but honestly I started appreciating the new format as it was allowing me to access questions from more than one section as it has better algorithm for filters unlike the older version where I was able to access questions from only one section at a time.

Anyone else also feels the same??

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying the new format and its improved filtering capabilities. We’re currently fine-tuning a few details, and we’ll soon release an updated version of the question bank. Rest assured, the old version will still be available for those who prefer it.

Thanks again for your input!

Which Question bank are you referring to here?

One third, one fourth, one fifth and one-seventh of the human population of Island X, which has fewer than 5000 human inhabitants, are all whole numbers and their sum is exactly the population of Island Y. What is the population of Island Y?

A.4200 B.4279 C.4581 D. None of these
Can anyone solve this math in details please
1/3 , 1/4, 1/5, 1/7 of a human population island X

Therefore the population at island X must be a multiple of 3,4,5,7 = least common multiple as 420.

Constraint given population is less than 5000. A multiple of 420 less than 5000 is 420*12= 4620.

One third of 4620 = 1540
One fourth of 4620 = 1155
One fifth of 4620 = 924
And one seventh of 4620 = 660

Adding 1540+1155+924+660 = 4279

Option B

Option B
i think the question should have been, which of the following could be the population of island y? since its not stated clearly so, the population of x can be any integer multiple of 420. not just 420*12. just a doubt i had.
