Hello Everyone.

Please suggest me a reliable source for practising verbal section apart from the OG. I have already Exhausted the OG but I feel I require a little more practise.

I have used Manhattan SC and other resources for CR and RC to learn the concepts, but I do need a set of good 100-150 questions to practise more.

Thanks in Advance !

For verbal, most of the experts and experienced suggest to go for only official questions.
You can buy official question packs.

Hi harshalahuja,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What version of the Official Guide did you use?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi harshalahuja,

If you feel that you are making mistakes and that you need to improve, I suggest you to first work on your weak areas, learn the right methods and then practice questions. Just practicing questions doesn't help you improve your accuracy. Look for a resource which can help you with the methods and good solutions so that you can analyze them and compare your approach with the right one. That's how I improved my verbal score from 26 to 38. Choosing the right resource and focusing on the process is the key. All the best :)

Hi harshalahuja,

Do you also want some general advice on how to improve your GMAT verbal skills?

Hi, Yes I want some general advice regarding good resources apart from the OG for practising questions similar to GMAT standard.

My Verbal, as of now , is lingering between 33-36.

Also, can you provide some tips on how to handle time in Verbal Section?
I face time constraint around 32nd Question and from there its just guessing the answers, maybe that is what is hampering my score

Thanks in advance.

Hi harshalahuja,

If you are struggling with verbal and are looking for a resource to help you improve your accuracy, then I would suggest you to look for a resource which can help you work on your weak areas, learn the strategies rather than just practice questions. Practicing questions doesn't help you improve your accuracy. You have to understand what's holding your score back and work on it. Most of the times it's the application that students falter at most.

I have one perfect recording for you. Go through it to understand the right process to follow to improve your verbal score.

Hope it helped. I suggest you to focus more on the process than on practicing questions. If you wish to have a detailed discussion regarding the same, you can get in touch with me using the below link.
