Re: Finance Trainee Position after 5 years of work experience [#permalink]
Hello aditi2589

Since you have just started working in this position and your true aim is to learn the ropes of finance, why are you considering an MBA so soon. Forget the salary, or trainee position- it is this narrative which will make your application weaker.
However if you still go ahead and apply- then mention the truth around the salary and explain about in one of the essays.
Not all B schools may ask for the salary either. So depends on what school you apply to.
But in any case I feel you shouldn't rush into applications if you are still learning. Apply when ready.

Thanks Varun

I guess my doubt is because I just started this position in June end and I don't have anything significant to report yet. I took the opportunity so I could learn about the finance function to prepare better for the MBA program and for post MBA jobs.

Also since it's a trainee position, I'm not getting paid yet. What should I put in the application form for starting and ending salary.

Thanks
