This is beyond stressful! But good luck to everyone who hasn't heard yet, and congratulations to everyone who got in!! :)

I guess i should just buckle down at work lol. going into a big meeting too, so that should take my mind off of it :)

I think they haven't started calling people in Cali..(I'm hoping as I don't see any call updates from Cali folks)

Anyone from India (international appicant) got a call?

Its almost afternoon in Durham and no calls yet.

Also, does everyone who gets in, gets a call? or admits can be communicated through e-mail too?

I'm from India, got a call at 7:30pm India time. Saw a couple of other applicants from India on the forum who also got calls around that time. I think everyone gets a call, with a formal email following later.

I'm at a loss. Devastated and sad beyond belief. I've been up since 4am excited hoping that this would be one of the best days of my life. As some of you may know, Fuqua was my first choice, and in my mind I was already going there. I enjoyed talking to many of the R1 admits plotting schemes for next year, looked up everything I could about Durham, including where to live, etc.

Anyway, congrats to those admitted and good luck to the rest of you.

same for me buddy i also looked up all the apartments and stuff too. i am devastated but i promise myself to come back next fall stronger and make a killer app. fuqua and booth are my two top choices and i will make it happen.

I would not give up! The things that are most difficult to attain are the most worthwhile. I was waitlisted, interviewed, then rejected by Duke last year. This year, I pushed for a promotion, had many more readers, contacted alumni, really researched the school, and performed mock interviews like no tomorrow.

It's been really great to get some elusive validation for my efforts. Perseverance is a valuable trait! On a side note, when in doubt, powerpose. Fake it til you become it! Good luck and try again!

And at what time will they send final decision mail (EST Time) ?

I asked that question as to when would the status be uploaded. I was told that they have a lot of calls and want to finish those first. A realistic time would be EOD today.

You will get an email by 5 pm EST that your status has been updated and then you need to login to SISS portal to check. I am an R1 wait list and thats what they followed last time.

You will get an email by 5 pm EST that your status has been updated and then you need to login to SISS portal to check. I am an R1 wait list and thats what they followed last time.

I'm a R1 waitlister too and I just checked my email from 12/20. I got the email notification of a change to my status at 6:14 PM. The way I remember it for R1, they called all the admits first, sent out all the ding emails, sent out admitted emails, and saved the WL emails for last. I haven't gotten a call and I doubt I will be getting off the WL this round but today is a lot less painful for me than R1.

Good luck to everyone and congrats to those who have gotten the call.
