I interviewed on campus for round 2 and was waitlisted. Does anyone know if Duke interviews most candidates? I know some programs interview most, but is this the case for Duke as well? If so, then that will make me approach my waitlist strategy with a different view.
Also, it doesn't look like they provide feedback, which is frustrating given most programs do. It is almost like reaching into the dark. If anyone got feedback, then let us know, that way we (I) know I just spoke to the wrong person.
As far as I know, only Kellogg interviews everyone, and I know Tepper interviewed 50% of its applicants this year. Duke, like most other schools, typically interviews 30-40% of the applicants.
I'm also thinking about the 'strategy" to get off the list but I can't think of anything else other than additional recommendation letters, add'l achievement at work (bonus & promotion), community services, etc. Also I don't think retaking GMAT would help much if your first one has already passed the average, unless your Q score was weak or getting some crazy high score.
I guess 80% of the people on the waitlist would do similar work to gain reconsideration, so the competition starts again.
