Thanks someneha!

Glad you’re getting benefits and the value from the process in the competition. Our intent and hope was that many would and I am thrilled to see it’s working at least for some :-)

Good luck!

I am not sure if the points are being calculated right. I have a kudo for the numbers less than 400 question and the answer and solution are right too. But I don't seem to have got any points for the question.

Am I missing something.

Yes that's the one I was referring to.

I wasn't aware he is not a moderator. Thanks.

But still I do not seem to be getting points for right answers for the past couple of days.

I am so grateful to you guys for doing this competition.

Posting an explanation has been helping me a lot in my thought process and approach.

Also, I get to realize what topics I am weak at. This is a great benefit. Choice of questions has been great.

For example, I realized yesterday that I need to practice more remainder questions.

I feel that you guys are keeping in mind to post questions covering various topics. So, plenty of different topics are getting covered and while solving, one can figure out, where do I need to put more efforts.

Thank you so so much.

Accumulation of points keeps me motivated and brings me to the platform at 8:30 PM IST sharp to solve questions on time.

Superb initiative. Thank you once again.

Hope to do better in the next couple of weeks!

Hi bb

Just thought of sharing a suggestion based on this.

So, as shown in the attached file, I went to GMAT Club tests section and tried to practice Remainder questions choosing appropriate filters since I struggled with the topic.
(I got access to the tests/quizzes for a week because I subscribed to YT channel)

My suggestion is, can the platform auto-suggest what sort of questions I should immediately practice next since I got a certain type of question wrong?
The categorization of questions has already been fantastically done.

I think this can lead to a positive loop.

In order to practice suggested questions, I would try to participate more on the platform to reach a certain level for tests redemption or I may buy tests/quizzes.

Auto-suggestion of questions may trigger a user to act immediately and help with procrastination. And the concept can be solidified immediately.

I have seen Bunuel posting a few similar questions when being asked in the thread of certain questions.

Just a suggestion. I am sure you must have thought of pros and cons of this. Thought of sharing regardless.

I have another question on the 30 timers bonus... (I read the rules, and used search but could not find an answer)

Do RC questions count in the 30 timers?

I took 2 RC passages from RC Butler today... total 7 questions.

All 7 questions are appearing in my error log, but when I go to error log STATS, it is not counting those 7 questions.

So do i need to do 30 from SC/CR/PS/DS only?
Thanks :)

EDIT: Its in the rules!! I completely missed it :(. RC is not eligible.

Yes it is stated in the rules that we have to do all 30s from SC/CR/PS/DS only. RC will not count at all.

I just sent a PM about this to the competing teams and just in case it is missed, we wanted to announce some changes for the WEEK 3 of the GOT Competition:

1. This week we are posting more questions to help teams catch up and earn more points. You will find 3 quant questions everyday this week!

2. Important: starting tomorrow we are going to reward only the best explanations with Kudos. I am giving moderators a guidance to give around 10 kudos per topic more or less so don't be surprised if your 2-line explanation goes not get Kudos. If you are posting an explanation, make sure you are doing your best. Explanations posted sooner will be prioritized for Kudos to a certain extent.

Thank you and good luck!!!
If you compete, you will get better at the GMAT, even if you make mistakes and don't get GOT points, the point is to get GMAT points really ;)

I am done for today's question.

Because of this game, i logged in daily to do GMAT questions and revised each question which I got wrong. Not only that, for questions which i have concept gaps, i solved couple of those "similar questions" at the end of the page to get myself familiarize with the concepts.
I have begun to see the mistakes i made when i compared my solutions with those of others.

Many thanks moderators for your efforts!

Hi bb,

I observed some people jump on the ranking yesterday when it was only questions and explanations points that were available. Is it possible that some people are using the 30 timer over the weekend to leapfrog others? Please look into this matter. I may not be correct but it is worth verifying as this is my observation.

Thank you for the wonderful initiative. "You don't really know how much you know something until when asked to explain it". This game is a great one in terms of giving me the opportunity to explain what I thought I know.

Cheers.

Hi Bunuel , can you please verify the second question. Is it only me who thinks that the last part of the question (not more than 20% part) doesn't make sense?
