I have a big dilemma. Fellow people at GMAT club please share your inputs.
I have an admit from ISB with no scholarship and have an admit from a GATech with $$$$. I am having a really tough time to choose. Ultimately it comes to where I want to work post MBA , but if we take out this factor can you please help me reach a conclusion.

Depends on what your long term goals are. How much WE have you got ? Which sector do you want to be after an MBA ?

ISB has a clear brand advantage in India , GATech is not that well known here
The situation is quite opposite when you are overseas.
Also GATech is very apt if you want to consider technology as one of your concentration. You should also consider the location of GATech at Atlanta ( whole lot of opportunities there ). One more line of thinking : if you want to really immerse yourself in business ( and come from a non business engineering background ) , then according to me , a two year course is better suited than the one year module at ISB. This will allow you sufficient time for the concepts and the tricks to percolate.

Last, but not the least , enjoy the free ride , meet new people and enjoy new cultures ( and that is a personal advice )

Thanx jnljinson. I have a work experience of almost 5 years in construction industry. Post MBA i want to move to operational consulting. I am not quite sure if I will be able to move toward Tech Management with my background . I do not want to work in construction/ real estate/ energy post MBA and this is a clear disadvantage that I will have at ISB. I feel I will have very few roles with my WE at ISB whereas at Georgia Tech I will get more chances to change my indsutry.

Any updates from the waitlisted applicants? Those who have been admitted, have you been offered any financial help, scholarships etc?

I was a Funding/Round II applicant who applied the first week of January. Within 1 week of my application submission I was asked to come in for an interview. I was admitted and offered a full scholarship within 2 weeks of of my interview. I have 6 years works experience, 700 GMAT, and 3.5 GPA. Hopefully that provides good guidance to everyone.

I received a letter mentioning that my application has been put on hold and they will get back to me in the future. Is this something GaTech does for most rejected applications or do they send out straight dings as well?

G.A is kind of relative you could get anywhere between 12-15 hr week with the professor and this could mean full tuition waiver as well.
