According to this question, we have the following details present:

Exactly three types of artwork are showcased in Gallery B.
The Baroque and Abstract artworks are displayed together in the same gallery, but not in Gallery C.
The Cubist artwork is displayed in a different gallery from the Expressionist artwork.
The Folk artwork is displayed in Gallery C.

If we assume Gallery B to have 3 artworks displayed, then A & B would have either 1 or 2 artworks displayed as no gallery has zero artworks on display - Condition 1

If Gallery C has the folk artwork on display & we are told that it does not have Baroque & Abstract artworks on display.

This implies that both Baroque & Abstract works are in either Gallery A or Gallery B. If we assume them to be part of Gallery A. then Gallery A will have 2 artworks & Gallery C will have 1 artwork which fulfiils our condition (1)

But this would mean that Cubist & Expressionist artworks will be in Gallery B together which violates one of the given statements that they are in separate galleries.

Hence both Baroque & Abstract works are in Gallery B. This means that the third slot can go to either one of Cubist, Expressionist or Digital artworks.

If we assume Digital artwork to be part of Gallery B then Cubist artwork could be part of either Gallery A or Gallery C & the same follows for Expressionist artwork as well.

If we assume Cubist artwork to be part of Gallery A then Expressionist artwork would be part of Gallery C along with Folk art. But the latter is not among the options given in the choices.

Hence Cubist artwork would be a part of Gallery C along with Folk art & Expressionist art would be a part of Gallery A.

Hence the correct answers are -

Gallery A - Expressionist only
Gallery C - Cubist & Folk only

Starting with Gallery C.
It is given that Folk is present in C, so the options are narrowed to 3 choices.

But, C can't have 3 artworks because B has 3 already and there's a total of 6 - which would leave A with none (not allowed).

Now let's work one by one.

If C has folk only.

A will have 2 artworks and B will have 3. A cannot have the pair of Baroque and Abstract as Cubist and Expressionist cannot in the same gallery, B together.
So let's take B with Baroque and Abstract. then A needs to either have Cubist and Digital (not an option) or Expressionist and Digital (again, not an option.) Scrapped.

If C has Cubist and Folk Only

Then A will only have 1 artwork. So B must have the Baroque and Abstract together. A can then have EITHER Digital only or Expressionist only, and the latter is present as an option.

So the Answer is A - Expressionist only and C - Cubist and Folk only.

folk in gallery C
baroque + abstract together (not in C)
exactly 3 types in gallery B
cubist ≠ expressionist (different galleries)

since baroque/abstract are together but not in C, they go in A or B.
if gallery B needs exactly 3 types, and baroque/abstract are together...
gallery A = expressionist only
gallery C = folk + cubist + digital
gallery B = baroque + abstract + (one more)
this works - cubist and expressionist are seperated, baroque/abstract together, folk in C.

answer: gallery A = expressionist only, gallery C = cubist, folk and digital only

Given the conditions provided the fastest approach is to eliminate the most obvious wrong answers that contradict the rules and then test the remaining options
From the elimination Gallery A takes only while Gallery C takes Cubist and Folks only.

Making a gallery table will be useful, B has 3 out of 6 art then Either A and C has one art, as Baroque and Abstract can't be in C, and Cubist can't be with Expressionist, and Folk is fixed in C that means Baroque and Abstract will be in B.

And by options we can see only Folk and Cubist which is the only valid option.

Gallery A: E

Gallery B: A, B, D

Gallery C: F, C

Hence, Gallery A: Expressionist.

Gallery C: Folk and Cubist.

Constraints
  1. Exactly three types of artwork are showcased in Gallery B.
  2. The Baroque and Abstract artworks are displayed together in the same gallery, but not in Gallery C.
  3. The Cubist artwork is displayed in a different gallery from the Expressionist artwork.
  4. The Folk artwork is displayed in Gallery C.

From Rule 1: Gallery B has exactly 3 artwork types. This means Gallery A and Gallery C combined must have the remaining 3 artwork types.
From Rule 2: Baroque(B) and Abstract(A) are together in the same gallery and not in Gallery C. This means (A, B) must be in either Gallery A or Gallery B.
From Rule 4: Folk(F) is in Gallery C.

GA GBGC
F

If A,B are in Gallery A,

GA GBGC
ACF
BD
E

Since Gal. A+C = 3 artwork, other 03 are in Gal.B, but, this violates Rule 3 as C and E cannot be in the same gallery.

If (A,B) are in Gallery B:

GA GBGC
C/D/EAF
BC/D/E
C/D/E

There are multiple possibilities since Gal. B must have one more of C/D/E (Rule 1)
Both C/D or E/D or only C/D/E or none of the artworks can be placed in Gal. A or Gal. C

It's better if we utilize option choices here:

Option A is not possible because of Rule 1 and Rule 4.

Option B (C and F) is not possible on Gal. A (Rule 4)

If C and F are on Gal. C

GA GBGC
D/EAF
BC
D/E

As per this scenario, one of D/E has to be placed in Gal.A and the other one in Gal.B since Gal. C already has 2 and Gal.A and B cannot have more than 3 artwork in total. Also, none of the Gallery could be empty.

Check if we have the option of only D or only E. We've only E in Option E. Bingo! That's our answer.

Correct option:
Gallery A have Expressionist Only and Gallery C have Cubist and Folk only.
As per given options,
If C have only one art that if Folk only, that means A have two arts one is definitely Digital and another can be from Cubic or Expressionist but as per option this case is not there so we can eliminate this.
Now if C have two arts that means it have Cubist and Folk as per option, A have Expressionist and B have Abstract, Baroque and Digital.
Try to eliminate options..

Exactly three types of artwork are showcased in Gallery B. =
The Baroque and Abstract artworks are displayed together in the same gallery, but not in Gallery C. => put them in B, in consideration of the previous rule (there must be 3 artworks exactly)
The Cubist artwork is displayed in a different gallery from the Expressionist artwork. => I analyze this rule last, put in A and C
The Folk artwork is displayed in Gallery C. => put in C. Answer for c must have F. Eliminate choices with CD because it violate one of the rules, only F and FC remains. If F only, I will have to put C and E together

The exact composition is as follows:
A: E
B: ABD
C: FC

Basic Info available -

-Gallery B should have 3 arts
-Art A & B should be together
-Art C&E should not be together
-Gallery C has Folk art

Solving Further -

1. As there are total 6 arts and gallery B should have exactly 3 arts, either of A and C should have 1 art and 2 arts. this eliminates 1st option.
2. Scanning the possible answer choice, art D must be gallery in B.
3. Further as art A&B are to be placed together, they should either in gallery A or Gallery B. This leaves either art C or art E for Gallery C. Again scanning answer options only art C and art F fits together and this confirms our arrangement for Gallery C.
4. Coming back to Gallery A, since Gallery C now has 2 arts, Gallery A must have only one art which would be E. Hence the solution for Gallery A.

A real nice questions, felt like a SUDOKU puzzle.

Let's call the types as A,B,C,D,E,F.

A & B must be in Gallary B, otherwise there's no way to fill enough 3 types into Gallary B. That leaves C, E, D to fill into the 3 gallaries.

Regarding the answers:

CFD only: this doesn't work. As F must be in Gallery C, CD is in Gallery C. That leaves only E and we will violate either rules of Gallery B having 3 or Gallery A having at least 1.
CF only: this means CF is in Gallery C. E and D can be split into A or B. This may work. Taking a quick glance, we see the stand alone E that can be filled for Gallery A.

Answer: CF Only in Gallery C. E only in Gallery A

Lots of moving parts but thankfully the artworks can be easily labeled as A,B,C,D,E,F. I found finding where things had to go first to be the most helpful. So it seems that after reading we only know F is in Gallery C, however, Gallery B has 3 types of art, and B and A must be together and because of that A and B must be in gallery B. Because if both were in gallery A that would leave only 3 remaining art types two of which cant be together, which would make Gallery B not have 3. So that leaves C, D, and E art types, 1 must go to gallery B and C and E must be separate. With this we look at the answer choices. We know neither A or C can have 3, so that leaves fewer options. Folk must be in C. Out of the options the only groups that would make it consistent is e only for gallery A and for gallery C its F and c

The three galleries : GA, GB, GC.
The six paintings : A,B,C,D,E,F

A and B cannot be in GC, so they can be in either GA or GB
> if A and B in GA > GB still needs 3 paintings which will have to be the remaining C,E,and D but C and E cannot be together.
Hence A and B have to be in GB

so GC = F
GB = A, B, _
GA = _ , _
or
GC = F , _
GB = A, B, _
GA = _
we need one more place in GB to be filled with D or E or C
and the left over 2 items can be in either GC or GA

From the options given, if GA has E only, then GB can have A,B, and D. Remaining, GC will have C and F
So for Gallery A, choose Expressionist only
then for Gallery C, choose Cubist and Folk only.
in this case Gallery B would be having Abstract, Baroque and Digital

A configuration that meets every requirement is to put only the Expressionist works in Gallery A and only the Cubist and Folk works in Gallery C. That leaves exactly three types, Abstract, Baroque, and Digital, in Gallery B. In this arrangement, Gallery B has three artworks; Abstract and Baroque are together (and not in Gallery C); Cubist (in C) and Expressionist (in A) are in different galleries; and Folk is indeed displayed in Gallery C.
