hi i am going to take gmat 23rd december.But my verbal section is not so good.I cant finish verbal on time.What can i do to improve my verbal score?

my suggestions would be to do the following even though it may sound cumbersome and boring:
-- track your time using a timer on each question, you need to practice giving answers on most verbal qu under 2min
-- find out the categories/questions where you spend most time, this will help you understand what area you need to focus more on
-- throughout these forums folks have emphasized using error logs and you may want to do so as well. this will help you track what areas you need to polish before the day of the exam
-- finally if you are running out of time, instead of guessing on the last few questions you may want choose to try and answer every alternate question as best as you can. this will not affect your score significantly. however make sure you don't leave any questions unanswered as you may know there is a heavy penalty for unanswered qu.

good luck on your gmat.

@supri1234: greatps24's Video is really good! I think it may help! But in the end, it's all about practice, so have a look at a couple of strategies and try to practice more CAT's as the confidence of right answers will help you boost your Verbal score, especially RC. (Reading of newspapers, books (in well-written English) may also help).

@all:

I would really appreciate if you could drop me just one line of input what you think on the 3 questions I should do in my last 7 days of preparation in order to get a score above 700. Thanks in advance!

I am writing next week. My last practice exam was 44V-37Q
I've been using the "From 44 to 50" post to improve my Q. Do you have any advice for bumping up V in a short time frame? I am focusing on the 700-800 level SC and CR problems. Particularily the heavily weighted SC.

Writing CFA I would take the night before the exam off to unwind, have you had success craming, review, or relaxing the nigh before GMAT?

I plan to take it on Dec 31st and I've just started my preparation.. Can anyone please suggest something? I have MGMAT, CR bible, OG 13 and supplements with me. I've started reading RC from MGMAT yesterday.

Background: I took a GMATPrep test a few months back. Scored a 530, but couldn't really begin my preparation due to some issues. Again, I'm caught up with some stuff and I'll be able to study only 60-70% of the remaining 23 days. Can anyone suggest something?

Hi all

I have my test on 19th Dec. Kaplan free test on 26th nov - 740. GMATprep on 6th Dec - 740 (Q50 V40). My problem is that I am not able to finish the Verbal section in time. On both of these tests I was left with 11 questions when I had only 10 minutes to go. I know timed practice is one way to resolve this. But that doesnt seem to be helping much. Any other suggestions on improving my verbal score and timing ?
