Has anybody else had score on the GMATClub verbal tests that aren’t aligning with other CATs? I just took the GMATClub free verbal and received a 31 and large, large majority were “700” questions. I was just using this test a general rule of thumb but the score was much lower than I was getting else where. Just trying to get some additional data points from other users.

yes this is very common . i got a 45 in verbal in a gmat club test followed by a 29 and finally i got a 40 in the real exam. only the gmat prep verbal is the most accurate . even manhattan and veritas aren't far off

wow, great verbal score! That’s kind of what I assumed but I was just checking against other data points. If you don’t mind me asking further, was there a significant period of time between your GMATClub verbal tests and your actual GMAT v40?
Seconded - the algorithm for Verbal does seem a bit odd. I got a V45 in GMATClub Test 4 after making silly mistakes in 500 & 600 level questions and V39 In Test 5 after getting only 5 wrong [all 700 level questions]. I got the last 20 questions correct but they were mostly 600 level questions with a choice few 700 level thrown in, so I don't think the algorithm adjusts the difficulty level when you get a few questions correct in a row.
