Hi guys. I was just informed by the recruitment manager that the two last rounds for Sep 2019 intake are cancelled. I initially planned to apply for this intake around those two rounds. This is because I am also in the middle of application to INSEAD.

But now that they have closed those two rounds, does anyone here have any advice whether I should insist on applying for Sep 2019 or just trying for Jan 2020 instead? The recruitment manager said that my profile is strong, but again I don't want to be easily 'fall' into this opinion.

By the way, I come from Indonesia and my GMAT score is 640.

Really would like to get some insights from anyone in here.

Hi starkfromthenorth! Is there any particular reason why you prefer the Sep-2019 intake over the Jan-2020 intake? I am applying for the Jan-2020 intake because I need to take care of a lot of things here in the Philippines before leaving (hopefully for HEC Paris).

Hello. I am applying for sponsorship from my company which will result in retention after the program ends, so I guess the sooner I go, it will be better! :) Have you started your application? Or even admitted? Hope everything goes well for you!

That's great! I am still finalizing my application to HEC. I will complete my application this weekend! I think the Sep-2019 class is almost complete, so there is a higher risk of rejection. If you can manage to wait for 4 more months, I suggest that you choose the Jan-2020 intake to minimize the risks.

Hi loneo3006. They said the applicant will receive a confirmation email after submitting the application; another confirmation email will be sent "a few days" later to confirm that everything is complete/no documents are missing. I think they will move you to the next round if there's a missing document upon checking. Are you applying for the Sep-2019 or Jan-2020 intake?

I contacted HEC admissions, so for those out there that are interested to know. HEC autorises a week after the deadline for the referee to submit their recommandations.

Hope that help

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what happens after an acceptance? How much time do applicants have to accept the offer and when will the school conduct background check? (actually I don't know whether HEC Paris does bg check, I know INSEAD doesn't)

Thx!

Hi Hazelmao. After acceptance, you have ~1 month to confirm. The dates of the confirmation deadlines are also outlined in the bottom part of the admissions section of the website. It's Jul-03 for the May-02 deadline. Sorry, I don't know anything about the background check.
