I don't quite understand. Why would you blame it on system? The timings were announced early on weren't they? When you know in advance that there's going to be a 9 am batch as well, You just had to rush to the home page to find the new set.
And about notifications, If you're following the thread, Notification does pop up in the corner right whenever there's a new post, to add up to it, you receive an email as well.
There are many psychological factors at play.
Even "When you know in advance", the brain can get overloaded, distractions happen with pressures and the brain forgets.
And with "You just had to rush to the home page to find the new set.", this places additional psychological challenges. Similarly with the notifications. They can be missed, especially when many of them pop up and the person is distracted with another task.
Our brains are cognitively limited. They are subject to biases and delusionary behaviors. This entire subject is both academically and practically very important. Psychological limitations have important implications for both human and societal functions. From a researcher's perspective, I have some insider knowledge of this subject.
Finally, this wasn't suggested to be blameworthy. Rather, it was feedback from a participant who experienced similar challenges as the OP. Cheers.
Sir, With all due respect.
I Believe GMAT Exam revolves around psychology only, as its being an adaptive exam.
the last few batches were made up to that standard only to get students a feel to "how to cop up with Time Restrictions". Since we all be having that in real exam. The last few batches might be hectic to many because of varying Time Zone. But i am sure we all learned enough through 100s of questions from all level.
This Competition was an eye opener for many of us. and i am sure we will be focusing more on our main Goal that is GMAT.
Cheers to all of the participants who give their best. Irrespective who ever end up being winner.
I am sure we all done the best of our efforts.
Regards.
