It really depends on where you want to work. If you’re aiming for a job in Switzerland, especially in Zurich, not speaking German can be a serious disadvantage. Most big consulting firms, including MBB, generally require the local office language, which in Zurich is German. Since you speak French, the French-speaking part of Switzerland e.g. Geneva or Lausanne might be an option for you, but you’d need to check if MBB has offices there or if these cities are a good fit for you. In Zurich, most expats end up learning German, simply because it makes both professional and daily life easier. If you want further insights about that feel free to reach out.

Hi thanks for the insight, would you say that the SIM degree is recognized even outside of the german speaking part of the world, i have no particular desire to work in DACH

No, not really. It has a strong reputation in the German-speaking region, but its recognition is more limited beyond that. The university is a great choice if you plan to stay in DACH, which is why most alumni remain in Switzerland after graduation.However, if you're aiming for an MBB office outside of DACH, especially in France, ESSEC would likely be the better choice due to its stronger international reputation in Europe. But if you receive an offer from INSEAD, I would definitely take that! INSEAD is not only the strongest target school for MBB in Europe, but also one of the most globally recognized business schools, due to its multiple campuses across different continents. If your goal is MBB, this is by far the best degree to have, as it opens doors to consulting opportunities in virtually every country.
