A. x^2

x: -ve, y is a fraction

A. x^2 = hold
B. (xy)^2 = will be less than A, X^2 is multiplied by fraction sqr
C. (x/y)^2 = will be more than A, X^2 is multiplied by fraction sqr (inverted)
D. x^2/y = will be less than C, X^2 is multiplied by fraction (inverted)
E. x^2*y = will be less than A, X^2 is multiplied by a fraction
