In the figure, X and Y are the centers of two opposite faces of the cube.
So XY will be equal to side , let assume it to be ''a''.
Statement 1: Volume is given , Volume of cube = cube of a , so we can findout the value of a
Statement 2 : Surface area is given , surface area of cube = 6 * square of a , from this also we can find out the a
From both statement individually, we can find a (XY).

The Question asks for the distance between the center of opposite sides which is equal to side.
1) Volume is fixed, hence side is fixed.
Sufficient.
2) Surface area is fixed, Side is fixed
Sufficient.
