Hi,

Here are my details.

GMAT - 710 (Q50, V35, IR5, AWA4.0) 91%
Undergrad - BE, 72.5% (First Class/Distinction) from VTU
Work ex - 8 years in a Technology MNC (5 years in Project Management roles, 3 promotions, 1yr International experience)
Extra Curricular - Cyber activism for political rights
Age - 30
Gender - Male
Citizenship - Indian
Target schools - Darden, Tuck, Duke, Ross, Cornell, LBS, MIT, Stern
Post MBA goal - Product Management/Marketing position in a US firm in a related industry.

Please throw some light on my chances at target schools. Also, please recommend any schools that could be a better fit for my profile.
Should I retake GMAT ?

Hi Ka09,

I think the schools you are targeting are a stretch going solely by your GMAT score. You are going to miss the R1 deadlines in any case, so being better prepared and retaking GMAT seems like a good strategy.
Also, do look at the employment reports and the Linked In data to understand which schools will best enable you to land a product manager role. Lastly, its good to generate some safe options so that you have atleast 1-2 admits at the end of the application cycle.

I would suggest retaking the GMAT, your schools will be challenging for you given the rising GMAT scores across the board at many of the top programs. I would retake and aim for round 2
