All in all, a very unique profile and frankly, it can go either ways depending on how you project yourself. The weight of your candidature will fall not on your past achievements, but what you wish to do post ISB. We think you have already identified that you need to improve your GMAT, and it's great that you are working towards it.
and stitch them with your past and present in a coherent manner. Adversity strikes everyone, therefore, we think that your essays can make or break your application. Can you show in your application learnings from your past, that you are applying to your present or your future? It will be an uphill task, but definitely doable, if you put in a lot of effort.
