Understand the frustration here, but try to look at it from the adcom's point of view - in any given year they will reject in the neighborhood of 1,500 applicants. The admissions office is just not staffed to communicate individual feedback with that many applicants.
I can understand their workload, however according to me, at least candidates who were invited to interview deserve to hear what was wrong about their application. I flew approximately 11 hours and drove 3 hours to Ithaca for 45 min interview. I also met with a guy who flew from India just for this interview. This means people really care about this process by showing special effort and such an effort deserves more than a generic e-mail. I do not want to sabotage the happiness of friends here with my frustration but when you feel that you did the best you could, you start to search for an answer for your disappointment.
DISCLAIMER I'm not a Johnson student, and I do have some very serious grievances with them.Hey. Feel your pain. But you got into Darden (congrats btw). And when all is said and done, it's
at least as great as Johnson. And frankly, as far as I remember, you did not spend 11 hrs on a plane just to visit Ithaca. So, I don't think it's fair to use this fact as a leverage because you flew 11 hrs to get an admit from a business school. And you've achieved this goal.
P.S. I was traveling internationally when I got my first interview invite. I flew 16 hrs back to the States just for that one interview, which btw did not end up well.

But no one has seen me complaining about it. It was my decision, I knew the rules of the game, and when the final results came out I did not expect the adcom to go the extra mile. Although, it would have been nice if they did.
